Cockroach Control

About 30 cockroach species out of 4,600 are associated with human habitats. About four species are well known as pests. Cockroaches occupy a wide range of habitats. Many live in leaf litter, among the stems of matted vegetation, in rotting wood, in holes in stumps, in cavities under bark, under log piles and among debris. They feed on human and pet food and can leave an offensive odor. They can passively transport pathogenic microbes on their body surfaces. Cockroaches can live for a few days up to a month without food, so just because no cockroaches are visible in a home does not mean they are not there. Approximately 20-48% of homes with no visible sign of cockroaches have detectable cockroach allergens in dust. A bacteria called Pseudomonas aeruginosa is particularly found in cockroaches and can be transmitted to humans. The Salmonella bacteria can also be spread by cockroaches, where it can cause diseases ranging from food poisoning to typhoid. Another health risk of cockroaches is allergic reactions.

Treatment Methods

Spraying:It is a fastest way to get rid of adult cockroaches that have a designated hiding area. In this treatment we spray the chemical directly in the area which is densly poplulated by pests. The chemical acts as a contact poison and immediately kill the cockroaches. the residue of the chemical will continue to kill any pest that comes in contact with it even at a later point of time. However the area has to be free of any eatbles and other material, thus allowing our technician to work faster and target multiple pests at once. Thorogh cleaning of treated are is recommended post treatment in order to make the area hyginic.

Cockroach Trap : These are little tent cards that are covered in clue from inside. these are placed in chosen locations of high pest activity. Pests attracted to it in search for food get stuck to the glue. These cards are later disposed off.

Gel : It might take a upto a weeks time to see the results of this treatment unlike spray treatment ;but has a long term effect as cockroaches eat this gel and contaminate other cockroaches with the same reducing its hidden population significantly . In this tiny dots of chemical in gel form is applied to areas like drawer channels, cupboard corners, Fridge gazket etc.
